Parenting can be hard, babies and children don’t come with a manual, and things change so quickly when they’re little, it can seem as though we have just got a handle on what’s going on and they up and change on us, moving to a different stage! It’s OK to ask for help, that’s what I’m here for.

Here are some frequently asked questions:

This is a hard one to answer, all babies and children are different! Depending on the technique used, how consistent we are implementing the sleep plan, and the issue we’re working on (some are a quicker fix than others) I’ve had clients who have had great success in the first day, and clients who have taken a couple of weeks to see proper results. Usually after 3 days things are much improved.

No, I will only use a technique that you are comfortable with and that suits your child’s age and temperament.

All children are different, what works for one may not necessarily work for another.

I always suggest staying home for one nap for the first few days to a couple of weeks when working on sleep, but once we have ironed out any issues your routine can be flexible and easy to work around.

This will depend on a number of factors, parenting style, child’s temperament, family situation ie are there other siblings to take into account.

If you’re happy with your sleep situation, no need to do anything! If lack of sleep is causing problems and you’re worried about your child not getting the sleep they need, it might be time for some advice!

Depending on the kind of help you’re looking for, I’ll send you an intake form to get back to me, then we’ll make a time for a call or I’ll get straight on to writing out your plan. Then once you’ve received your sleep plan and you’re ready to go we’ll start our support period and get started on better sleep!

That’s where I come in! I’ll let you know if you’re on the right track with what you’re wanting to achieve (I mean, we’re not going to expect your newborn to sleep through the night, no matter how nice that would be!)

Whenever you feel it’s a problem! Babies and children all need sleep, so working on sleep at any age is going to be beneficial to you and them!
